We’re seeking an (Permanent Full-Time) Structural Engineer, to join the Engineering Team in Perth.
Your Responsibilities
The Structural Engineer will report directly to the Manager of Civil/Structural Engineering, and will be responsible for the structural scope of works on various projects based around Australia.
Duties of this role include but are not limited to;
- Review specifications for the design of structural components.
- Prepare preliminary specifications and calculations.
- Arrange and check drawings to enable modifications of in service equipment and tools.
- Select and use the appropriate software tools to analyse and verify balanced machines and structures.
- Foster a creative idea exchange culture whilst working with multiple disciplines to reach overall team objectives.
- Attend technical meetings with fellow team members, clients and consultants.
Your Profile
Successful candidates must demonstrate the following competencies to be shortlisted;
- Bachelor degree in Structural/Civil Engineering as recognised by Engineers Australia (or equivalent).
- Structural Engineering background in mining projects with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience in designing or auditing balanced machines (preferred, or a willingness to learn from our team).
- Experience in utilising SPACE GASS and Excel in preparing design calculations for the mining industry and knowledge of FEA software advantageous.
- Experience in dynamic and fatigue analyse (preferred).
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
