JHA Australia is a forensic structural engineering company based on the Gold Coast, servicing Australia wide with engineering investigations and assessments. In light of our continued growth, we have an attractive opportunity for a seasoned Engineering Manager to help support and grow our business.
Reporting to the Director, this position will lead and support the Insurance Division with input, assistance and responsibility of the insurance engineering reports. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years experience within the engineering building industry and have the skills to undertake fault investigations, be able to identify structural failures and defects both in domestic and commercial structures and mentor junior engineers.
Key Skills Required:
- Engineering Degree
- Extensive experience in building consultancy.
- Building inspection experience would be of significant advantage.
- Practical knowledge of domestic and commercial construction methods and techniques.
- Experience and skills associated with technical report writing
- The alibility to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel to regional and interstate areas when required.
- Decision making abilities
- Leadership skills
- Ability to maintain an empathetic nature with external clients.
- The ability to work autonomously
