Weir Minerals Australia LTD, a member of the Weir Group PLC, is the market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of slurry pumps and allied minerals processing equipment to the mining industry, both within Australia and throughout the world.

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Pump Application Engineer to join our Original Equipment sales team. The purpose of the role is to contribute and participate as an active member of the Pump Applications team, ensuring we deliver solutions that generate customer value.

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Quoting and negotiating slurry pump project orders to end user customers and minor Engineering Houses.
• Project management and expediting of lead time critical pump orders
• Providing higher level pump application technical support to our Area Managers and end user sites
• Monitoring and communicating market changes and competitor feedback to management
• Budgeting and forecasting pump sales in the South Sales region.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

• Previous technical sales experience
• Experience with the Mining, Minerals Processing, Power Generation or General Industrial market segments.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Analytical mind set with an eye for detail
• Tertiary qualifications in an engineering or technical discipline
• Experience with centrifugal pumps is highly desirable

You will work well both autonomously and in a team, and hold safety first and foremost in everything you do.
