Site Support Engineer

We are seeking experienced Site Support Engineer to join our team in Port Kembla in NSW for a 12 month fixed term contract.

Your Responsibilities

This person will be required to provide technical and engineering support, advice and solutions to the client. In addition coordinate, administer and supervise inspections, maintenance, repairs and upgrades.

Duties of this role include but are not limited to;

• Developing and maintaining client relationships ensuring that all client KPI’s are achieved
• Coordination of maintenance of works including preparing schedules, developing execution plans, arranging and delivery of procurement items, coordinating resources and site personnel, provide supervision and technical guidance during shutdowns on the stacker and reclaimer machines
• Prepare and respond to client and subcontractor technical queries
• Maintain contact with the client during all phases of the work and as directed, and arrange/coordinate the expedient rectification of any warranty claims
• Complete reporting requirements including reporting on all contractual issues, including variations associated with the works
• Reporting on machine performance, and provide recommendations for equipment improvements
• Identifying sales opportunities with the client whereby possible

Your Profile

Successful candidates must demonstrate the following competencies to be shortlisted;

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
• Significant technical and operational experience with mining balance machine equipment
• Undertaken previous supervisory position demonstrating leadership abilities in managing crews
• Intermediate Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Database Management
• Good interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities
• Ability to work safely and in accordance with company policies, and any statutory requirements
