With an increase in current and future projects our Client is seeking a Project Manager & Mechanical Engineer to manage a variety of local and international projects providing a unique chance to join an innovative and motivated team delivering projects from feasibility, design through to execution stages. An opportunity to flex your Project management skills whilst still keeping your hand in Mechanical Engineering design!
Broadly the Project Manager will have responsibility for an efficient running of small team of drafters and engineers . The main responsibilities would include the following:
- Full end to end Project Manger a variety on local and international projects.
- Design and review of technical drawings and schematics for mineral processing equipment and associated plant, when needed.
- Working closely with the other project managers, and engineering team coordinating mechanical design of standard equipment and ancillary equipment for mineral processing projects across the team, meeting project timelines
- Project manger technical supervision of equipment installation at the client’s project site when required
- Assist in the development of fabrication methods, more streamlined logistics and more efficient project execution.
- Participate in and manage project risk assessments and HAZOP studies
- Provide Mechanical Engineering support on a variety of projects, if needed
Whilst being a Brisbane based position, many of our Clients technology projects are based overseas, therefore some domestic and overseas travel maybe required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in similar position in mining and/ or Oil & Gas with at least 5 years experience specifically in the mineral processing space, would be ideal
- A Mechanical Engineering Degree is essential
- Whilst current RPEQ status would be ideal, candidates who are currently in the process of obtaining registration or are eligible to apply will be considered
- Experience across various mineral processing technologies i.e. flotation, milling, conveyors, agitators etc and associated pipe and structural works.
- Strong communications skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders building good relationships.
