The opportunity


Due to company growth we’re looking for a Process Improvement Engineer to join our manufacturing plant in Carole Park. You will be responsible to execute the 6 sigma strategy and approach to deliver best manufacturing practice across the region. This role will operate within the manufacturing framework and strategy to collaborate with the regional continuous improvement team to deliver business results.
  
Responsibilities

  • lead and drive 6 sigma continuous improvement plans within our manufacturing plants regionally
  • Standardisation of processes and implementation of best practices across the plant
  • Develop documentation for key manufacturing processes
  • Provide process engineering expertise and support for all projects implemented
  • Identify and implement key improvement process- incremental and step change
  • quantifiable cost efficiencies for the business
  • Manage and drive continuous 6 sigma process improvements
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders within the plant and wider business to educate, train and implement processes
  • Lead best safety practices and James Hardie principles in execution of all plant activities
About you
  • Minimum of a Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical ).
  • 3+ years in working within a 6 Sigma/Lean continuous improvement environment using key tools and frameworks and successfully rolling them out across manufacturing environments.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitide
  • Ability to effectively drive change in the workplace.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A strong capability for gap analysis, planning and priority setting..
  • Ability to manage time autonomously without instruction and guidance.
