Repair Centre Technician

WHAT'S ON OFFER
Advantech Australia is currently seeking a Repair Centre Technician on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extending to a permanent position. Working in this role, you will be assisting our clients with proprietary hardware repairs in an efficient and cost effective manner. You will report to the Technical Supervisor every week on current open cases and whether further escalation to HQ is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Repairing hardware component, ordering parts, etc.
- Identifying equipment faults, repairing and returning equipment to usable inventory.
- Learning and using Advantech’s repair management information systems
- Knowledge of ERP system such as SAP system is advantageous but not essential
- Assisting in further improving the repair process.
- Working in a safe environment.
- Re-installing OS, updating BIOS
WHAT WE VALUE
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience and knowledge in the following:
- Previous experience in IT repairs is essential.
- Ability to work in an organized manner
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to liaise with staff across all levels of management
- Relevant qualifications will be highly regarded
- Mandarin speaking (advantage but not required)
- Knowledge in Electronics (advantage but not required)
- Skills in Software programming (advantage but not required)
