Your new company
Our client is a well-respected global Engineering consultancy that have secured a number of key Civil Infrastructure projects within Victoria. Due to these significant project wins they now seek to employ a Senior Civil Engineer to lead their Highways Team on a permanent basis. This role would be a Highways Lead and be at either a Principle of Associate Director level.
Your new role
Working on significant local highway projects, this position will see you responsible for managing an internal team as well as involved in project duties, including; concept, preliminary and detailed design. Your duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Concept and detailed design for Engineering works
- Provide technical guidance to clients and management team
- Business Development
- People management: leading a team of 15-20 people.
- Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders; including external consultants, drainage, utilities, traffic etc.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position you’ll have qualifications within Civil Engineering and be a Chartered Professional Engineer. As a Senior Engineer it is expected you’ll have 10+ years’ experience and have extensive exposure to local codes and regulations with VicRoads knowledge also important. Consultancy experience is also required.
Ideally you will have managed an internal team of Engineers previously, although candidates that are keen to step into a management role are also encouraged to apply.
