Arlec Australia is a long established, well respected Australian company, importing and distributing electrical products throughout Australia and overseas. Due to business growth we currently have an opportunity for a degree qualified Electronics Engineer to join our business.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for a broad range of activities, including:
- Liaison with staff & Chinese suppliers (local and in China) on product specification compliance
- Laboratory testing of products to establish function and statutory compliance
- Prepare product specifications and supporting documentation
- Evaluating product, ensuring that it complies with the company’s QMS procedures
- Maintaining test laboratory equipment and records, calibrating equipment and conducting product testing to verify function & statutory compliance
- Product Research & Development
- Assisting with the recruitment (& training) in Australia of a team of Electrical/Electronics Engineers for Arlec’s China office
- Assisting with general engineering duties
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem skills, pay close attention to detail, have excellent communication skills and be a well rounded team player. To be successful in this role you will be a team player, thriving on challenge and have the desire to excel in all endeavours.
It is therefore essential that you are:
- Fluent in written & spoken Mandarin
- Prepared to travel overseas, particularly China, when required
- Have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Have strong Excel skills
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Hold a Bachelor or Post-Graduate qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
