Due to growth, expansion and development my leading rail client is currently offering a number of opportunities to Civil Engineers on contract positions. Having a range of projects from smaller upgrades to multi-million dollar work I encourage all engineers to apply who have had experience in the rail sector, particularly within structures, bridges and maintenance of rail assets. Working alongside a passionate team of individuals you will benefit from an output driven environment and the opportunity to develop under encouraging management. With 12 month contracts on offer and strong daily rates, there is also an opportunity to become a permanent employee.
Situated initially in Sydney CBD, there will then be the opportunity to be based in the west, south or northern regions of Sydney. You will be able to expand your skills in stakeholder engagement including between different engineering sectors, asset management and operations you will play a key role in instigating change. All applicants are required to hold, or be able to obtain an RIW.
In return we are looking for the below skills and experiences;
You will be a qualified Civil Engineer with demonstrable experience on rail projects, with an emphasis on structural assets. With a high level of stakeholder engagement involved, we are looking for those with strong communication skills, ability to engage different opinions, collate information and provide results.
Required skills and qualifications;
• Relevant tertiary qualification and experience, preferably within the rail sector
• Proven experience in Rail Track asset management, maintenance, construction and commissioning works in an operational environment
• Knowledge of maintenance engineering principles and their application to maintenance and operations, including an understanding of standards and codes
• Previously experience in remediation works is highly desired
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
