The Position: 

Our business is growing and as a result we are now seeking a motivated, highly experienced and enthusiastic team member to join our Smithfield Production team. This role is a full time position and offers overtime opportunity along with performance bonus.   

This role will be responsible for providing and facilitating technical management along with supporting the planning, reporting, co-ordination, execution, completion and maintenance of manufacturing projects within budget.

Key responsibilities:

Assist with the development of product design and liaising with stakeholders on final design.

Review output of product lines and calculate required services and utilities.

Attend technical due diligence inspections with external partners.

Assist with planning and redesign of facilities, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Manage the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of equipment’s including but not limited to: Utilities, Building Requirements, Solution Preparation systems, Filling and Assembly Equipment, Sterilisation, Packing and associated services.

Manage and maintain accurate timeframes and financials for project technical aspects.

Investigate options to reduce initial CAPEX by balancing initial equipment requirements with future procurement for projected growth.

Responsible for sourcing of project equipment’s and liaising with quality and regulatory for compliance with requirements.

Create, review, and revise standard operating procedures relating to production operations under quality guidelines.

You will possess the following qualifications, skills and attributes: 

At least 5 years+ experience as a qualified Engineer (Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical)

Knowledge of the medical industry and relevant industry experience to satisfy license & regulatory requirements.

A recognised problem solver, with a track record of success using a structured approach

Management skills and experience in a GMP / ISO certified environment.

Good communication and people skills.

Good computer skills (MS Excel, PP, MS Word) and ERP system (SAP)

Experience with project management, or lean six sigma

Ability to set and meet deadlines.

Ability to manage budgets
