About the opportunity 

The Executive Officer (Operations) reports to the Executive Director (Operations) and is responsible for using their high level project management and senior executive administration experience to lead, oversee, coordinate and guide the quality delivery of key  projects whilst also providing expert advice and guidance into the development of  policy and planning for the area.

  • Provide planning, policy advice and support to the Vice Principal (Operations).
  • Lead and drive planning performance to lift the focus on operational excellence and capability with a view to achieve optimal overall performance of leaders and managers within Operations to achieve improved results and deliverables.
  • Manage communications and relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Maintain governance and control and key compliance requirements for the Portfolio
The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound, high-level decision making and is expected to act as a subject matter expert in regards to reviewing and recommending the Division’s approach to policy, program planning and development, consultation with stakeholders and decisions around assessing the implementation of strategies. The position has responsibilities for interfacing with, and contributing to, decision making of the areas Executive team and applies extensive professional judgment to make day to day decisions within policy where this exists, as well as in areas where it does not, exercising independent judgement and significant overall decision-making autonomy.

The Operations portfolio include: financial services, human resources, campus infrastructure and services, information and communications technology, risk management and student administration services.
