The Opportunity
The Industrial Buildings team in Australia consist of engineers, architects and designers who work collaboratively across the business to deliver a broad range of light and heavy industrial projects within markets including Food & Beverage, Mining & Metals, Power, Water, Rail and Manufacturing.
The Design Drafter is involved in preparing and coordinating the delivery of BIM models structural steelwork & concrete drawings for a range of industrial building structures projects across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. In this role you will have the opportunity to take a lead role in the delivery of work packages and offering guidance and advice in the provision of design services to our clients.
Based in our Melbourne office, you will have the chance to work in a highly collaborative team that is focussed on creating a culture of creativity and innovation, developing long-term client relationships and empowering the success of our people.
About you
You will have experience as a Structural Design Drafter within our key market sectors and specifically with industrial buildings. We are also looking for:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Adv. Diploma, Diploma or Certificate) in Civil/Structural engineering is essential
- Capability to deliver projects from inception through to completion, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
- Experience in leading design delivery to internal and external customers and clients
- A Sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards and Building Codes
- Experience in both AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks
- Outstanding communication skills and the flexibility to work across a broad range of technically complex projects
