Cardno's Wollongong team has an opportunity for a Civil Designer to work on a variety of transport and infrastructure civil design work including roads, highways, drainage and pavement.

Due to continued growth, Cardno is now seeking to appoint a Civil Designer. Here, you will be working as a key member providing engineering services to a cross section of clients working on a variety and multitude of projects. You will be part of the Wollongong team and work as part of the South Coast Business Unit. There is plenty to enjoy about the office including a brand new location, arguably the top social touch team in the region and always plenty of activities to be a part of outside of work.
 
Role
Whilst being a driven and influential individual, you will play an integral role working on infrastructure projects as part of an experienced design team as part of the APAC south region.
 
Key responsibilities you will be required to undertake will include: 

• Operate 12D, civil3D and design systems efficiently to work on transport and infrastructure civil design work including roads, highways, drainage, pavements and subdivision projects
• Ensuring company and client expectations are managed appropriately on-time and within budget
• Directly liaise with project managers and designers to ensure designs are within scope
• Comply with the quality management system and provide feedback and recommendations where the system may need modification
• Based out of the Wollongong office you will also work closely with other surrounding Cardno offices

Your experience
You are a self-motivated character looking to impact and drive the business, having demonstrated the following: 

• Preferably 5+ years’ experience as a Civil Designer
• Demonstrated experience using 12D
• Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence to express ideas freely with other staff members
