Having acquired Hannapak, the largest privately owned paperboard packaging manufacturer in Australia, WestRock Australia is seeking to employ a full time Plant Engineer to join our team in North Richmond, NSW.

About the role

Reporting to the Plant Engineering Supervisor, the key objective of the position is to work with the Plant Engineering team to ensure 100% up time of the plant and equipment within the site at North Richmond.

Duties and key areas of responsibility

  • Preventative and breakdown maintenance of the plant and equipment within the facility
  • General machining to manufacture components as required
  • General fabrication, including welding, as required
  • Fault finding and trouble shooting

Qualifications and experience required

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • A trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter with 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • 3+ years’ experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Advanced fault finding and trouble shooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
  • Ability to manage own time, set priorities in conjunction with Supervisor / Manager, plan and organise work to meet set priorities
