Our Graduate Program
We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and innovative Engineering Graduates to join our 2019 Graduate Program, commencing in late January 2019
The 2 year program will introduce you to many facets of the organisation and the broader water industry.
During the 2 years, you will:
1) rotate into a variety of projects across our delivery groups,
2) participate in a leading edge development program designed to build your technical and professional skills, and
3) collaborate and network with graduates and experts from across the water industry:
As part of the Melbourne Water graduate program, you will be exposed to the broader water industry as we partner with metropolitan water authorities, South East Water, City West Water and Yarra Valley Water to deliver a collaborative professional development program. You will work with graduates from the other water authorities throughout the program to help address critical challenges facing the water industry.
What we are seeking:
We are looking for innovative, high performing Engineering Graduates who have the potential to drive new ways of thinking, are keen to learn, enjoy working with others to achieve great outcomes for the organisation and our customers, and are passionate about their chosen field.
Multiple engineering disciplines are sought for our 2019 intake, including:
- Chemical / Process engineering
- Civil / Structural engineering
- Communications engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Environmental engineering
- Industrial automation / Automation and manufacturing systems / Automation and control engineering
- Instrumentation and control engineering
- Mechanical engineering
- Process control engineering
Key Selection Criteria:
- strong grades in relevant courses or degrees
- evidence of working constructively and collaboratively with teams to produce high quality outcomes – in study and / or employment.
- an ability to problem solve and respond to ambiguity
- evidence and outcomes of leadership in study and / or employment contexts.
- effective communication skills
Prerequisites:
- Have completed a relevant tertiary degree in the past 2 years
- Australian or New Zealand Citizenship, or you have Australian Permanent Resident (PR) status at time of application
