Naval Group is the international design and build partner for Australia's Future Submarine Program. This long term engineering project will have phases of design & build spanning the next 50 years and presents the perfect opportunity to transfer your existing engineering skill set into South Australia's exciting defence industry.
We are seeking a Fluid Technologist to join our growing local engineering team. The Fluid Technologist will assist with the identification and qualification of Australian suppliers of mechanical equipment and components for fluid systems.
The successful applicant must be eligible for an Australian defence security clearance therefore Australian citizenship is required.
This role will be based in Adelaide with some national and international travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the identification of Australian suppliers of mechanical equipment for fluid systems;
- Assist the procurement team in the choice and qualification of the suppliers;
- Manage the qualification of the fluids equipment for the Future Submarine Program;
- Support the design team for questions related to the fluids technical field.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering;
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role or within the engineering field;
- Strong taste for innovation in compliance with cost objectives.
- Knowledge of Australian mechanical equipment providers will be viewed favourably.
You will work autonomously and as part of a project team where initiative, a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills will be valued.
