The Company
Our client is a State Government Department and due to busy nature of the industry they are looking to add a Project Manager to their Network Maintenance Division. This will be working on the Network Maintenance Directorate Change Program reporting into the Senior Manager of Structures Engineering.

The Role

The Senior Project Manager manages and coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope in line with established agency project management methodology
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes
  • Manage a project team/s, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes
  • Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence based project planning and decision making
Essential
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience across business or infrastructure.  Demonstrated ability to deliver large business projects (including business improvement programs)  
  • Experience in successful end-to-end delivery of assigned business improvement projects through strong and rigorous application of Project Management Methodology  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, establishing good working relationships with colleagues, the business and other stakeholders. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Project Management certification, e.g. PRINCE2
 Desirable 
  • Experience in civil infrastructure and maintenance in a utilities or transport operating organisation with complex standards and business processes.
  • Working with transport infrastructure environment 
  • Experience with working in PRINCE2/MSP/P3O environment.
