Your Role
You now have the opportunity to join this highly respected and innovative organisation who are proven to be one of the leading integrators in the Industrial Automation field. Due to increased market share and project growth our client is looking to add an excellent and driven Engineering Manager to the team based in their Head Office, South Brisbane, Queensland.

Engineering Manager
You will have a forthright and hands on approach to working with and managing a dynamic team of Technical Design Engineers, Mechanical / Electrical Engineers, Project Managers and additional Technical team members in order to "get things done". You will oversee and be responsible for the design, development and implementation of both software and hardware elements of projects from concept, design, build process through to procurement, resource allocation and installation and commissioning including all safety systems being executed to Australian Standards. The role will see you being involved in improving design practices, strategic direction/influence on business and the delivery of full turn key solutions to clients from a wide range of industrial sectors such as abattoirs, beverage, can, cardboard manufacturing as well as paper, steel, timber and many more!  

Day to day management and mentoring of individuals and team members to continually drive increased standards and competence as well as a focus on HSE by leading from the front is paramount, therefore proven people management skills are crucial. There is also an element that includes PLC and PC controlled machinery (Primarily Allen Bradley), AGV's, robot cells such as ABB robotics operating in a fully automated and continuous manufacturing environment, therefore the desire and ability to learn quickly from an already strong technical base is desired.

To be successful…
You will possess the following skills and competencies:

• Engineering qualification – Degree Level Highly Regarded
• Mechanical| Mechatronics Engineer Preferred or Associated Experience
• RPEQ Highly Regarded
• Proven Management experience & ability to lead people and teams
• Track record of delivering successful outcomes in Industrial Engineering
• Automation / Packaging Industry experience in FMCG/Food/Packaging.
• Project Management software | Strong IT Skills experience required
• Organised, detailed, calm, autonomous with proactive & solutions-based mindset
• Design experience highly regarded

You will also be a determined, driven, self-starter who thrives on delivering deadlines and high levels of client service. You will have a strong commercial mindset and have experience managing P&L’s, be mature, organised and calm under pressure. You will also have the ability to develop strong relationships and rapport with individuals, team members and clients.
