LEAD / SENIOR ELECTRICAL & CONTROLS SYSTEM ENGINEER

POSITION SUMMARY

With recent major organic growth and a large pipeline of very significant key and challenging projects, Engenuity Solutions is seeking a high calibre Engineer to join a dedicated team in delivering exceptional outcomes to our customers.

As such, we are seeking a Lead or Senior Electrical & Controls System Engineer to join our vibrant, collaborative and innovative engineering team.

In this role you will have the opportunity to be involved in uniquely focussed high tech systems designs through to large scale multi-disciplined global projects.

The role will provide a key function in our strategy, anchoring and building the controls team with the driving force to improve our service offering and our capacity to deliver. To meet with existing project demands, the candidate would also need to have the capability to perform electrical design for LV & instrumentation systems. The role is based initially from a client office in Brisbane for the first 6 – 12 months working with our existing team to deliver a major project, with the view to be based from our Gold Coast office longer term. The role will see the successful applicant involved in:-

• A range of upgrade and new plant projects of varying sizes
• Design and implementation of electrical & control systems solutions for generation, HV distribution and process plant areas
• Be a part of commissioning teams during plant shut-downs and start-up of new equipment

ABOUT YOU

• Experience with PLC & DCS programming
• Experience with, and the ability to perform calculations for design of electrical equipment and instrumentation
• Strong commissioning and on-site trouble shooting skills
• Strong experience in the mining industry
• Technical aptitude, analytical and problem solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with an open and collaborative attitude
• Awareness with safety systems, legislation codes and contractual documentation
• Experience with Rockwell, ABB & Siemens PLCs would be favourable
• Experience with generation plants and mining machines would be favourable
• Functional Safety qualification is highly regarded
• RPEQ qualification or similar is highly regarded
