Job Description

Greenline is seeking a motivated draftsperson with demonstrated experience working in design and construction. Your role will be to produce drafting and detailing architectural structures for a variety of applications, from conceptual to fabrication phase.

We are a design and construct firm specialising in covered areas and service Education, Recreation and Retail sectors on the East coast of Australia. You will report to the Technical Design Manager, and work closely with the Sales Manager, Operations Manager and Project Managers. You will be expected to be drafting/designing and managing documents packs however, your role within the design team may vary slightly to suit company needs.

The role will be based in our Head office in Wagga Wagga.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drafting, scheduling and the production of drawings using AutoCAD® and Advance Steel
• Design and documentation of fabric structures and steel roof structures for a variety of industries
• Production of conceptual, architectural, structural and fabrication drawings
• Document and deliver structural drawings in accordance with recognised standards and internal processes
• Assist in the development of office drafting standards and processes
• Strengths in solving technical problems and design issues such that the preferences of individual clients are met
• Basic engineering design capabilities in support of the design engineers and department.

• To show initiative in improving drafting processes

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years drafting experience in structural engineering
• Excellent skills on AutoCAD® and Advance Steel
• Good Microsoft office knowledge
• A Cert IV in Engineering Drafting or similar
• Experience with other drawing programs such as Revit will be looked at favourably but not essential
