Due to recent growth RMA Engineers are seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our established Brisbane office.

Our civil engineering team partners with industry leading architects, town planners, developers, surveyors, contractors and government clients on a range of project sizes and types. We need a senior civil engineer who thoroughly understands the engineering design and construction requirements of local and state governments and is experienced in project management.
Responsibilities
- Provision of high quality technical assessment and advice to internal and external clients and stakeholders in respect of civil engineering
- Plan, resource and coordinate completion of tasks and delivery of outcomes in accordance with agreed programs, including collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Development of new and maintenance of existing client relationships
- Supervision, development of, and mentoring of junior technical staff
Essential Skills
- An Australian-recognised civil engineering degree and has, or is working towards, RPEQ status
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in civil engineering, particularly urban development, with a track record in successfully delivering development projects for clients. Additional on-site experience will be looked upon favourably.
- Understanding and capability to work with storm water quality and quantity requirements
- Thorough understanding of the development process, from pre-DA to construction
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting and profitability
- Contract administration and site supervision experience preferred
- Experience in 12d and AutoCAD is essential; Civil3D experience preferred
- Experience working with utility providers
- Exceptional communication skills, including:
- experience with stakeholder consultation and preparation of bids and technical reports
- ability to liaise and negotiate with local and state government assessment agencies
- Focus on client relationships with exceptional client engagement, networking and relationship management skills
- Capability to be an engaged mentor to less experienced team members
- The commitment to travel (infrequently, to regional Queensland/Surat Basin) to meet our clients face-to-face and offer expert technical and planning advice
