About the Role
Due to growth, we have an opportunity for a qualified Project Engineer (Mechanical), to join our team. . As the Project Engineer, you will assist with several of the design components and layouts that relate to material handling systems for our clients within the Aviation (airports automated systems) and Freight Handling Sectors.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Design, revise both new and existing components for baggage handling and freight forwarding automated solutions.
- Prepare layouts in either or 3D AutoCAD / Inventor.
- Producing and proofing of drawings, manuals and associated documentation.
- Ensure that all technical designs are correctly labelled, filed and recorded.
- Conduct site visits with clients.
- Develop technical and functional specifications.
- Factory and Site testing
- Ensure all costings i.e. invoices, accounts, claims, budgets are all managed.
- Any other duties as directed by the Manager.
About You
- Current and demonstrated experience as Project Engineer (Mechanical) within either the Aviation, Freight Forwarding, Materials Handling or Warehousing is essential.
- Proven skills in developing technical and functional design specifications.
- Solid skills in 3D AutoCAD and/ or Inventor.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and revising both new and existing design systems within the automated environment i.e. materials handling.
- Previous skills in mechanical engineering design, cost, estimation and project management.
- Good experience in negotiating and influencing stakeholders for effective outcomes that are beneficial to both.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills is essential.
- Tertiary qualifications Engineering (Mechanical) is essential.
- Certification in Project Management Methodology is highly desirable i.e. PMBOK and PMP
