About the role
Reporting into the Construction Manager you will be a key member of the construction team for a $35m Design and Construct project to deliver a new STP and associated pumpstations and network pipelines.
Project delivery and performance
- Work with the Construction Superintendent, Supervisors and Subcontractors to plan and execute works to meet project requirements regarding safety, quality, environment, programme and cost
- Understand and ensure compliance with project specifications – checking materials and work in progress for compliance with specified requirements
- Resolving Technical issues with our Design Consultant, Client’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors and statutory authorities
- Quality Control in accordance with Client Technical Minimum Standards, method statements, Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans. SPE’s duties will also include the preparation of ITP’s and review of subcontractor ITP’s
- Supervision of Project and Graduate Engineers
- Measurement and valuation of progress
- Providing data in terms of variation orders and site instructions
- Collating as-built records, maintaining site diary and preparing technical reports as necessary
Skills & Experience
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a new multi discipline project in a large global organisation. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have a sense of urgency and determination to get the job done. In addition we are also looking for the following skills and/or experience:
- Mechanical Engineering background however will consider both Civil and Electrical
- Planning and Programming capability using Microsoft Project or P6 would be beneficial
