Project Manager - Electrical Construction is accountable  for planning, support and management of all works associated with engineering design and construction activities, particularly in the safe, efficient and timely delivery to fulfil client specifications of heavy industry and water infrastructure projects of Tier 1 customers. 
Project management activities will involve preparatory planning and organisation of site works, co-ordination of inhouse engineering design team, manufacturing workshop, subcontracts & suppliers, materials, plant and equipment for execution and liaising with client personnel to ensure work delivery to project budget and timeline. Interact with internal and external parties to maintain sound HR and IR work practices.

Successful Candidates will have relevant tertiary qualifications, construction awareness and regulatory accreditation. Demonstrated experience in design and construction of electrical control systems in mining, water infrastructure or energy.

Proven capability to deliver complex, multi-discipline engineering and construction projects on time and budget with acceptable quality standards and experience with related project controls clients.

Knowledge skills and abilities will include;

  • Strong electrical skills in large scale installations; including fault finding and rectification.
  • Solid understanding of electrical switchboard design, manufacturing, installation processes and associated standards.
  • Coordination and management of multi-discipline (civil, mechanical, structural) sub-contacting teams. 
  • Experienced in planning and managing risks of end-to-end design, construct and commission process.
