Masters and Young is an electronics design, research and manufacturing firm based in Logan City, Queensland. We provide solutions for equipment development for Medical, Industrial controls and Military applications. We have been in operation for more than 20 years with a staff of 25 engineers and technicians. We have a full manufacturing capability in house, including, P+P, Vapour Phase and Automated Optical Inspection. What we design , we build in our facility in Logan. Our quality strategy is driven by ISO9001:2015 and ISO 13485 standards.
We have designed and built
- Low orbit data acquisition and control systems - High velocity research
- Lymphedema treatment devices - Medical
- Industrial UPS systems
- Accelerometers for mining applications
- IS data loggers for underground mining
- Fire control systems
We have produced about 200,000 items of our design in our own facility.
The role of the position is to work with in a group of engineers and technicians to design, manufacture and test electronic equipment. Projects can last from weeks to many months and usually include the preparation of documents, design of PCBs and associated hardware and test and certification of devices.
The successful applicant will be employed on a full time basis
(Applicants who offer contract engagement will be considered.)
Note, this position is not for inexperienced personnel.
Essential Requirements:
- A degree in Electronic Engineering or similar is essential.
- Employment in a design and development role of at least 3-5 years is essential. We require applicants who can hit the ground running. We require skilled and experienced electronic design engineers.
- The applicant must be passionate about great design and quality outcomes.
Job requirements include:
- Development of Specification documents
- Schematic and PCB layout using Altium 16 or later. We currently use Altium 18
- Work to Quality assurance standards - ISO9001, ISO13485
- Experience in Embedded controller applications including firmware development in C. We use ARM, STM32, Nordic Semi
Preferable skills in
- Bluetooth, Lora, IOT
- Bluetooth with Nordic Semi
- Documentation inc Manuals
- iOS and Smartphone Apps
