About the Role

To ensure the ongoing and effective management of the preventative maintenance works across the CFL network, CFL are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our inhouse Maintenance team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner will play a vital role in the effective management of the work flow process through our maintenance system, as well as developing job plans and coordinating contractor maintenance works.

Key duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Determining the resources required including materials and hours to complete the works
  • Completing accurate estimating of costs to be scheduled
  • Purchasing materials for approved works (both standard and non-standard work requests)
  • Managing the yearly planned maintenance calendar including developing and implementing a visual system to overview all preventative works (e.g. kamishibai board)
  • Managing the yearly regulatory compliance works calendar
  • Managing the work order process for the Maintenance team
  • Managing appropriate contractor works as determined by the Maintenance Manager
  • Managing all written standard maintenance job plans
  • Reviewing all repetitive failures and developing corrective action plans as requiredReviewing and optimising store stock levels
  • Receipting purchase orders as required

About You

As an experienced Maintenance Planner, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or similar) or relevant Trade qualifications (e.g. Electrical)
  • Demonstrated experience in a technical writing role
  • Previous procurement experience
  • Strong understanding of maintenance processes and activities
  • Advanced computer and maintenance systems skills (MEX highly regarded)
  • Working and practical knowledge of applicable PdM technologies such as thermography etc.
  • Practitioner in RCA
  • Practitioner in RCM / FMECA (developing an effective asset care program)
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and conducting training/toolbox talks (concerning P(d)M Maintenance)
