Who We're Looking For
A residential driller's out and about on their own for most of the day so 'self-starter' describes what we're looking for. Our field techs deal with clients from time to time, so experience with keeping your cool and a good communicator will be a big help. And of course, you'll be driving around in a drill rig most of the time, so a manual driver's licence is a must.
Here's some other stuff you'll need:
- A White Card;
- Ability to provide site and soil evaluations to AS1726 and AS2870;
- Manage time and responsibilities;
- Very strong workplace safety awareness and understanding of corporate and site health and safety requirements;
- Basic report writing and numeracy skills;
- Physical fitness to a level that will allow you to operate and maintain equipment such as a drill rig safely and competently;
- Technical aptitude to analyse and document a variety of soil types.
What You'll Do
We're looking for someone with experience doing residential drilling in Queensland. This position's part of our Site Services team, who are generally on the road all day visiting building sites.
So among other things, you'll be:
- Obtaining soil samples using a drill rig, ensuring samples are labeled and logged in accordance with AS2870 and AS1726;
- Providing analysis of tree vegetation located on and around site;
- Sketching site plans;
- Maintaining the drill rig and associated tools in accordance with Structerre company policy;
- Maintaining equipment and notifying the right people of necessary maintenance requirements.
