ABOUT THE POSITION.
This position has become available due to the current manager relocating interstate. As the Fire Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for managing, reviewing, and assisting technical staff with fire engineering queries. You will also be responsible for allocating work to the team and for managing overall performance. Ideally you'll have previous management experience, however skilled Senior Fire Engineers looking to take a step up are also encouraged to apply.
DUTIES.
- Preparation of fee proposals
- Liaison with the Principal Certifying Authority on alternate solutions
- Project manage fire engineering projects
- Quality Assurance
- Developing business opportunities
- Registered as a C10 Fire Safety Engineer with the BPB, or be eligible for registration
- Masters of Fire Safety Engineering is desirable
- A proven background of experience, working within a fire safety engineering team
- A good understanding of building services engineering especially fire services
- Business development experience is desirable (though not essential)
- A high level of honesty, integrity and commitment
