DTMR are seeking an experienced, responsible, organised and innovate Principal Engineer (ITS Projects) to provide a high level of professional advice in Electrical Engineering practices, systems and real time traffic operations for major projects and developments. Facilitate the delivery of appropriate ITS systems within major projects through participation in the project teams, design, development and implementation of the Traffic Management Systems.
This role involves:
- Provide high level input and manage ITS and / or electrical works design review of all Program Delivery transport infrastructure projects in construction, maintenance and operation.
- Provide high level professional advice in the development of project specific ITS standards and performance for major projects.
- Ensure ITS systems for major projects and developments are successful and integrate with TMR Traffic and Incident Management Systems through liaison, persuasion and direction.
- Manage and participate in multi-disciplinary project teams delivering lighting, ITS and Traffic
The ideal candidate will have:
Mandatory requirements:
- Possession of an appropriate degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) from a recognised tertiary Institution acceptable of the Institution of Engineers.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ).
- Current ‘C’ class drivers licence
Desirable requirements:
- Significant experience in project delivery in infrastructure (especially public transport systems).
- Experience in operations and maintenance of transport infrastructure
