Our leading global Automotive client is looking for Digital Modeller with their Design studio team at Melbourne for ongoing contract role.

Key Responsibilities :

• Development of digital surface models in support of all Design Programs from concept through to A Class incorporating all customer's requirements
• Develop surface models for all visible exterior & interior components capturing design direction whilst insuring feasibility & legal requirements are met.
• Develop digital concept models incorporating design direction to aid in the early stages of design & feasibility development
• Liaise with Design Studio & other PD team members to understand customer requirements and project deadlines
• Prepare digital models for design reviews by applying representative colour's & finishes
• Check surface models prior to release to insure surface quality standards are met.

Skills and Experience Required :

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical and or Automotive Design or Industrial Design Preferred
• In depth practical knowledge of automotive surface development using Alias/ICEM software
• Effective communicator with the ability to work through problems.
• Intimate understanding of the Design Development process with a minimum of 5 years experience working within a Design Studio environment.
