Our client is industry leader in the design and manufacture of specialist electronic products. Looking for an experienced engineer, reporting to the engineering development manager, to coordinate and manage product variants, OEM Retro Fits and to coordinate product specific technical support to the Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Production Teams.
This is an important role as part of the Engineering and Support team. There are multiple projects often conducted at the same time, our client requires someone that can manage their tasks and time effectively and provide a strong contribution to the team.
As part of the Team you will be required to;
- Provide product based technical support as required to the Sales Team and on occasions, the customer.
- Liaise with Engineering & Production Team as required regarding “special products” - their design, modification, enhancement and application. This will extend to the documentation and control of the “special product” and its final approval for release.
- Liaise with other members of the Product Management, Engineering & Production Team as required regarding “OEM Retro-fits” - their design, modification, enhancement and application.
- Provide in depth knowledge of the entire product range on offer
- Maintaining various forms of documentation
Qualifications & Experience:
- BEng (Electrical or Mechanical)
- 3D product design experience in either SolidWorks or SolidEdge.
- Experience with metal work fabrication
- Experience with design requirements for injection moulding of plastics
- Experience in a support or project management role
