About the Position:
Reporting directly to the Director, this role will see you managing consultants, contractors, project engineers and programme in order to deliver the facility to the highest quality, sustainability and safety standards. You will assist the Construction/Project Manager to lead commercial, engineering and site supervision resources to manage the procurement and construction process, resolving design, construction and stakeholder issues. This will include:
- Plan and schedule of day to day site activities in conjunction with the Site Manager to ensure project milestones are met;
- Review engineering /design deliverable's, providing pricing and initiate appropriate corrective actions;
- Doing checks for quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status;
- Oversee RFI’s;
- Client liaison and site visits;
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Qualifications / Skills
We are looking an individual with experience in project managing mid to large scale building projects (as a Project Manager, Construction Manager, Project Engineer etc), specifically you would be required to:
- Demonstrates effective leadership qualities and behaviour;
- With a passion for customer focused outcomes, strong communication skills, and a collaborative nature;
- Construction Management or related degree and min 5 years’ experience;
- Ability to effectively manage and coordinator consultants, subcontractors and direct site staff;
- Ideally looking for someone that has experience working on projects $10M +;
- Strong communication and negotiation skills;
- Exposure to winning and running projects
