Your new company
This company is an established, medium-sized multidisciplinary drafting firm with offices in both Canberra, in Australia’s Capital as well as Batemans Bay, on the South Coast of NSW. They are renowned for providing a fantastic service of high quality drafting and detailing, utilising high-end 3D packages for all disciplines of drafting. With a solid pipeline of work, and a particularly large project currently underway, they are seeking multiple, skilled Steel Detailers with proven experience using Tekla.

Your new role
Focused on Steel Detailing in multiple sectors for multiple disciplines, your prior knowledge and experience will be utilised working alongside highly talented industry professionals. This reputable business is in the process of strategic growth and therefore expanding their teams. You will be responsible for interpretation of consultant’s information provided to produce a highly accurate 3D model, which in turn will be the basis of the 2D fabrication drawings, marking plans, transmittals and reports.

What you'll need to succeed
To be selected for these roles, at minimum you will need to be able to demonstrate experience with the following;

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Tekla, Modelling and drafting for the structural engineering, steel detailing and/or construction industry, proven experience in Tekla systems and templates and be highly familiar with relevant Australian Standards.
• You will also have excellent communication skills both written and oral, be confident and efficient working with both absolute autonomy as well as in a team environment, have the ability to work to tight deadlines, be able to prioritise work to accomplish within required timeframes and have the ability to come up with innovative solutions.
• Be driven to produce and maintain the highest quality possible. Close enough is not good enough.
