A vacancy currently exists for a Graduate Electrical Engineer in the Processing Area with Mount Isa Mines. This role will be rotational therefore the successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of Processing including Smelter/Concentrator throughout the North Queensland Copper Processing Operations.

As part of Glencores graduate programme youll receive further training through our excellent, structured professional development stream. You will be exposed to a wide variety of electrical engineering tasks, including design & commissioning of Low voltage control circuits for direct online (DOL) and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), selection, installation & commissioning of various instrumentation, exposure to high voltage control circuits, management of small maintenance projects, and development control logic for circuits using Yokogawa CS3000 system and Allen Bradley PLC System. In addition, you will be involved in ensuring electrical equipment complies with the relevant Australian Standards and assist with implementing maintenance strategies for electrical equipment to increase reliability. You will also have the opportunity to work in the field with the electrical maintenance team which will assist you with putting your theoretical knowledge into practice.
