A Heavy Industrial Engineering design company that we work closely with are looking to hire a Design Engineer to join their technical drawing team in the Central Coast. 

With a history spanning more than 10 years here in Australia, they currently have several projects that they are working and more at tender stage for next year.
  
The work will involve 80% 3D design, layout design, mainly with Siemens NX but also Creo as well as 2D work with AutoCAD and 20% FEA work with Nastran.  You will review and interpret technical specs and requirements while developing document designs.  Provide complete 360 support to assigned customers internally and externally, communicating with them daily, weekly and monthly.  Design to AS1100 standards experience and to welding specifications, painting specs, risk assessment / HAZOP is also required.
  

You:

• An enthusiastic and proactive Designer Engineer an individual that thrives on working in a fast-paced environment
• An Engineer that’s developed and executed engineered to order projects
• Someone that’s used to liaising with sales and marketing, aftermarket and sales teams
• A problem solver, someone that’s been involved within brownfield optimization, an individual who enjoys analyzing existing projects, planning and liaising with the team to better that product
• Strong experience within continuous improvement and product development
• A passion for improving the methods necessary to increase your assigned customer products improving their product manufacturing productivity
• TAFE, Mechanical Diploma or Degree
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar environment
• Working knowledge of Siemens NX and Creo
