Contract opportunity for a Senior Engineer to work on large infrastructure development projects.

This role is with a State Government department who are committed to helping the government deliver on its economic objectives for Queensland.
Your new role
The client is looking for a Senior Engineer to work on special projects such as Priority Development Areas (PDAs) on a 12 month contract basis.
Key Requirements:
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve challenges to the timely and cost-effective delivery of critical and catalytic infrastructure required for the ongoing development of PDAs.
- Initiating, investigating and recommending opportunities for innovation cross PDAs.
- Facilitation or delivery of special infrastructure projects with PDAs.
- Administering infrastructure network models, i.e. sewer, water stormwater, traffic etc. for the planning and development assessment functions across PDAs.
- Advise internal and external stakeholders of the validity of claims for credits/offsets in terms of scope, cost, probity and value for money.
- Assist in identifying the infrastructure requirements for potential development and providing strategic planning and infrastructure planning.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree qualified in Engineering.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to provide effective strategic advice and consult with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to provide advice and exercise sound judgement in planning and development assessment.
- Extensive knowledge of development assessment, i.e. sewer, water stormwater.
