We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Compliance Expert to execute and manage testing and certification of appliances (includes gas, electrical and EMC, Watermark and WELS, MEPS, ERAC, diesel & petrol powered appliances). This role will also be responsible for ensuring on-going compliance of products in Australia and New Zealand. The role iwill be responsible for leading activities associated with OEM audit and assessment processes.
Essential duties will include (but are not limited to);
- Manage products certification process for Gas / Electrical / Watermark / EMC etc. from concept to market, including ongoing certification maintenance.
- Provide training in certification processes to AUS/NZ Standards.
- Maintain and develop Quality Assurance process and provide remedial actions as required.
- Ensure quality / fault reporting is conducted in an orderly, appropriate and effective manner.
- Lead and manage OEM product installation audit teams.
- Promote, involve and train Sales and Technical teams in OEM Audits
The successful candidate will have;
- A solid understanding of Australian and New Zealand Gas and Electrical standards
- Experience responding to regulatory agencies and generating creative solutions
- Ability to prioritise and plan autonomous projects
- Practised and strong presentation skills
- A technical mind
- Experience in a similar role
- Tertiary qualification in engineering field or trade background with relevant industry experience.
