Pan Pacific Perth is recruiting for a career driven Shift Engineer to join their large hotel Engineering and maintenance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, this key role focuses on maintaining all areas of our 5-star hotel to an exceptional standard and supporting the Chief Engineer in meeting the strategic goals of the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To carry out all maintenance requests in regards to guest rooms, public areas, heart of house areas.
- To carry out and complete allocated job requests daily.
- To assist the Chief Engineer/ Maintenance Supervisor in day to day operation and response to emergency calls.
- To be aware of any scheduled works to be carried out by any contractors.
- To check the standard of work carried out by contractors.
- To highlight any major problems that may affect the operation of the hotel and advise of any plant and equipment that may require replacement for inclusion into the capital expenditure budget.
- To ensure the safe and competent installation of electrical appliances and components within the hotel property.
- To install and replace plumbing work as required.
- To frequently check external drainage and roof gullies for blockage.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Electrical or Mechanical trade certified
- Experience with electrical generators, electrical switch board, motor controls, central chillers, hot water boilers and refrigeration system.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Engineering background is an added advantage
- Preferably with five star hotel working experience.
- Positive attitude/aptitude
- Willing to do rotating shift (morning/afternoon and graveyard shift)
