Client
My client is one of Sydney’s most respected tier 2 global multi-discipline consultancies, having been in operation for over 50 years with several offices across Australia’s east coast. Lasting relationships having been developed in that time with leading architects and developers resulting in a full order book and plenty of projects on the horizon for 2018.

The Role
In the role you will be responsible for overseeing a dedicated team of electrical engineers and leading multi-discipline projects across a diverse range of sectors including 5 star hotels, healthcare, universities, shopping centers, heritage redevelopments and high rise residential.  Working hand in hand with one of Sydney's most established electrical directors, this is a unique opportunity to lead the electrical team and progress internally to a director level role with ownership in the company available. 

My client is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual who he can work closely with and mentor to become the NSW electrical lead in the coming years, so there is plenty of growth guaranteed in the role.

Responsibilities 

• Preparation of design documentation, including drawings, specification, schedules from concept through to construction
• Act as the key point of contact for clients and represent the Sydney electrical team
• Lead and supervise the designs and technical development of junior members on the team
• Learn and progress your own skills under the wing of the NSW directors.
• Business development and client laison

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Have 7+ years’ experience in electrical engineering design within the buildings and property space
• Experience leading and mentoring junior members in Australia
• Ability to liaise with clients and subcontractors
• Healthcare design experience is advantageous but not essential
• Be enthusiastic and have a drive to progress
