Project Manager (Urban/Land Development)

Location: South Melbourne

Our client a well-established consulting engineering firm with national offices. Established 30 years ago and was conceived to provide civil engineering services in urban development and related fields.

They specialise in all aspects of civil engineering as applied to the subdivision of land and building development, marinas, harbours and canal estates, transport systems and traffic management schemes. They also provide a total civil engineering service, from initial feasibility studies to concept planning to construction superintendence/management.

Their projects are mainly greenfield land development. As an Engineering Project Manager (Urban/Land Development), you will be responsible for working with clients, contractors, authorities’ co-consultants and internal teams to deliver urban development projects. You will also be instrumental for monitoring and controlling all aspects of the projects (including project costing and feasibility studies) and managing design outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Have a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Have demonstrated experience in the design of urban development projects including large scale residential subdivisions
  • Have a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, or other relevant qualification
  • Have demonstrated local civil engineering & project management experience
  • Possess strong communication skills, particularly in the preparation of contracts and other project related documentation
  • Experience interacting directly with clients, construction contractors and service authority representatives
