Close to Melbourne CBD, this permanent position is with a highly professional R&D organisation developing absolutely state of the art equipment and networks, now moving into software defined networking.

You must be an accomplished Embedded Software Developer for Linux. In addition, you need to have proven expertise in virtualisation techniques (KVM, OpenStack or VMWare) and ideally Intel DPDK architecture.

There are other "nice to haves" but we can discuss these. This is a critical role for a truly professional engineer with commercial experience of embedded systems for  high speed data networks and ideally SDN. A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree qualification (Electronic, Computer Systems or Communication Engineering) is essential.
