Salini Impregilo S.p.A, an industrial Group specialising in the construction of major, complex projects throughout the world, and NRW Civil and Mining, a leading provider of diversified services to the resources and public infrastructure sectors, are jointly delivering one of Western Australia's most transformational public transport projects, the Forrestfield-Airport Link.
Salini Australia Pty Ltd are providing services to the JV and are interested in hearing from a Project Planner/Planning Engineer who has experience working within the Project Controls area of construction projects.
This role works as part of a small but critical part of the project execution team. The successful candidate must have an ability to work directly with the delivery teams to drive construction.
Key Functions will include:
- Measure and report program/project performance based on KPI's and earned value analysis
- Prepare accurate planning and programmes for station/building delivery.
- Analyse project info to develop an optimal and if required alternative construction program
- Challenge construction team program proposals to maximise efficiency
- Strategically advise outcomes and direction
We are seeking a candidate with the following profile:
- Proven knowledge of construction and engineering techniques and sequences
- 5 to 8 years building & construction industry experience
- Exposure to heavy civil, building, MEP & Rail Infrastructure works
- 3 + years planning experience
- Planning software experience with Primavera or TILOS
- Professional communication skills
- Contractor background
- Excellent knowledge in Excel
The Project Controls / Planning Team is a key element in delivery of this major infrastructure project. This role offers a great opportunity to work with an international contractor as a specialist Project Planner. Your general commercial building construction knowledge with a desire to further your career in specialist planning will provide you with a significant career opportunity in the growing infrastructure sector.
