About the Company:

With a strong national capability, this Tier 2 consultancy is capitalizing on the Newcastle high-rise residential boom and infrastructure investment. With still a relatively small local office, this company is leveraging off of both local and national client relationships to build their local project portfolios.

You will be:

1. Leading a team to design and deliver $10m-$100m building projects across the Hunter Region.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Lead engineering project teams and contribute to the development of engineers
• Review and implementation of structural engineering techniques, relating to composite construction, post tensioned concrete, precast concrete, pre-tension, pre-stressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber and cross laminated timber panel construction
• Manage and develop key stakeholder relationships, including clients, architects, builders, project managers, etc.
• Attend and participate in client meetings, and liaise with local authorities
• Organise, draft and coordinate technical documents

Role Requirements

• Client-focused and innovative approach, with clear verbal and written communication skills
• Tertiary qualifications within Civil/Structural Engineering
• 8 years local experience working within a Building Consultancy
• Thorough knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards through practical design implementation
• Demonstrated experience designing complex projects and meeting/exceeding delivery requirements
• Experience with software such as ETABS, SAFE, RAM, Revit or similar
• High level communication skills to liaise with the team, senior management and external stakeholders to produce commercial, client focused outcomes
