BDA is currently seeking a talented individual to join the team as a Senior Technical Officer (STO) - Structures located at RAAF Base Amberley as part of the Air Combat Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP).
The Senior Technical Officer - Structures is responsible to the ACEASP Production Engineering Resource Manager for the conduct of engineering support activities related to Super Hornet and Growler Systems and associated Support and Test Equipment (S&TE). These activities include, but are not limited to, assistance with: publication amendments, technical queries, reviews of engineering process and procedures, modification orders, Special Technical Instructions and test documents.
The Senior Technical Office may also be required to support engineering work on other aircraft platforms, and may be rostered for duty ‘on call' or for ‘shift work', when occasion requires
To be successful, the candidate will be able to convey their knowledge and experience in the general, technical and behavioural competencies outlined in the attached job classification, with the most imperative being:
- An aircraft maintenance background with associated trade qualification
- A minimum of 5 years' trade experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and aviation technical publications
- Ability to obtain, or retain, a defence security clearance to the level of Negative Vetting 1.
- Ability to meet the United States Government's nationality requirements for International Traffic in Arms Regulations clearance
