Working on prestigious projects as part of this multi disciplinary engineering practice, your role is to be responsible for the technical delivery of the mechanical services design and documentation.

BUILDING SERVICES – SENIOR TECHNICAL MECHANICAL ENGINEER

(BUILDING SERVICES DESIGN ENGINEERING)

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Building Services Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive local building services experience to join our team. The successful applicant will be working as part of our team on a diverse range of projects including major residential, commercial and infrastructure developments around Western Australia, Victoria and NSW.

Key to success of this role will be a proven ability to run with Commercial projects, perform engineering duties including design and delivery, delegate work as required and manage quality of output with respect to documentation. Experience delivering projects from concept to construction including design, documentation, planning, contracts administration and budgeting.

Knowledge and Experience:

The successful applicant must have the following:-

  • An Engineering degree in Mechanical / Building Services with a minimum of 10 years' experience in Air Conditioning design and installation.
  • A minimum of 7 years Building Services involvement with 3 years of local Sydney experience with a proven clientele
  • Chartered in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in managing and motivating a team of engineers and technicians to bring about positive outcomes that add value to our clients
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work environments, work responsibilities and technologies
  • Computer design packages for cooling load estimates (Camel)
  • Revit modelling, AutoCAD 2D drafting
  • Excel, Word, Outlook and other general computing skills

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Electrical, Hydraulic and Fire services is an advantage
  • Ability to understand and implement quality assurance QA procedures within an organization
  • A strong track record of liaising with Architects, builders, water authorities, subcontractors and engineers from other disciplines.

You will you be given the opportunity to run your own projects and help mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and drafters. You will also work hand in hand with the managing director, to assist in growing the business operations, implementing new systems and maintaining performance frameworks.
