CRISTAL MINING AUSTRALIA is recruiting for an Electrical Technician to support our open cut mineral sands mine at Ginkgo in the Murray Basin.
The Electrical Technician is accountable for maintaining, servicing and repairing fixed and mobile plant and equipment on the mine sites in accordance with the relevant procedures.
Relocation assistance to Mildura will be provided with this position.
This role will be offered on a permanent DIDO basis from Mildura or Broken Hill on a; 8 days on, 6 days off roster basis (10 working hour days excluding meal breaks). Camp accommodation and meals will be provided during rostered on period.

About the Role
The Electrical Technician will be responsible for:
- The safe and efficient maintenance, servicing and repair of plant equipment in accordance with Cristal’s stringent procedures and operating instructions.
- Minimising downtime through accurate fault finding, investigating and determining repair actions.
- Installing and commissioning modifications and design changes to control and electrical equipment in accordance with Legislative standards.
- Using the company computer system (SAP) to obtain spare parts and complete any documentation/reports as required.
- Isolating plant and equipment for maintenance purposes.
- Be available for call-outs as required.
About You
To be successful in your application you will need to possess:
- An Australian Electrical Trade qualification
- A NSW Fair Trading Supervisor Certificate (electrician) or equivalent from another Australian State or Territory.
- Previous mine site / fixed plant / heavy industry experience
- Availability to attend call-outs
- A dual trade Electrical and Instrumentation would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Qualifications and experience in high voltage switching would be desirable.
