DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to take on the role of Portfolio Engineer.

Our Portfolio Engineers deliver infrastructure projects and support to an assigned client base and are seen as the engineering SME on their customer base for other blueAPACHE staff. The role includes direct and indirect support, projects, pre-sales, reporting, capacity, change and risk management.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Technical implementation & maintenance of new & existing customers systems.
• Managing the day to day ICT environment of your assigned customer base including but not limited to:
  • Antivirus
  • Server, network, voice and storage capacity management
  • Patching
  • Security
  • Risk, change and event management
• Provide 3rd level escalation for blueAPACHE's Service Desk
• Perform the role of client technical SME during any priority incident within your technical domain
• Manage to resolution all assigned incidents, requests, events and changes. 

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate is an experienced broad skilled Systems Engineer, with a background working with a system integrator/managed services provider, including sound commercial and technical skills.

Required Skills

• Solid skills in MS implementation, administration and support, including Office 365, Exchange Server, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
• Networking (Cisco, HP), switching, routing and firewalls
• Citrix
• Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper V)

Desirable Skills

• Storage (SAN, NAS)
• Veeam Backup and Replication

You will ideally have a current Microsoft Technical Certifications such as MCSE Server Infrastructure / Messaging, Citrix CCA (or higher) and/or proven significant industry experience.

• Favourable consideration will be given to candidates who have other certifications from vendors such as HP, Cisco, Microsoft, Veeam or VMware.
• You will be results orientated and have strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• You will be a motivated self-starter able to work either in a team environment or on your own.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential

This position is primarily located at our Abbotsford, Melbourne office however you may be required to travel within metropolitan Melbourne from time to time.
