Located in Thomastown, and Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role requires the Graduate Engineer to re-establish the Lean Manufacturing principles and implement a Preventative maintenance system for the plant and equipment for Manufacturing and Surface Technology coatings.
 
This is a 6 month contract that will be reviewed after this period against the KPI's set out.
KPI's will be based on:

• 5S
• Visual factory boards, Skills matric, working menus, schedules
• TPM procedures, PM, continuous improvements, 5 Y's, The root cause
• Establishing department teams - Team leaders - Ownership - Teamwork - Get people on board - Increase morale
• SOPs, Quality Operating Systems, Pull system, Overall Equipment efficiency
• Standardisation, Reducing waste, targets, smart change overs, mistake proofing, levelling the workload
• Problem solving

 To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade, Degree or Tertiary Qualifications in a related discipline
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
• High level of accuracy and detail
• Numerical reasoning skills
• Intermediate computer skills
