The Reef Hotel Casino is the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, Food and accommodation in Cairns employing approximately 500 employees.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Supervisor is responsible for cost effective delivery of building facilities maintenance and minor new works, supervision of the engineering team, selection and supervision of sub-contractors and consultants, ensuring their performance and quality of work is of a high standard.
This is a hands on role with key functions including effective on the job training and development of engineering employees, recruitment and selection, and implementation of preventative maintenance strategies and programs.
Criteria
* Relevant building trade qualifications and licences, preferably in electrical and Workplace Health and Safety.
* Recent, relevant experience in a similar position in a hotel environment.
* Proven ability to supervise / assist in the management of a large multi trade team of employees with a focus on providing a high level of service to all customers both internal external.
* A team player with strong leadership qualities, integrity and service ethic.
* Able to thrive under pressure whilst juggling multiple priorities.
* Working knowledge of budget analysis, rostering and purchasing.
* Experience in using Microsoft applications including HTML and BMS.
